Apis Cor is a San Francisco based start-up. It is the developer of a unique mobile construction 3D printer that prints self-supporting walls and partitions, as well as permanent formwork for strip foundation and columns of reinforced ferro-concrete framework. Apis Cor’s 3D Printers are not mounted on a frame or portal and work independently. The printer easy to install on-site requiring
two men and takes less than 30 minutes, has relatively small dimensions- 4.5 meters long, 1.5 meters in height and width. It is positioned at the centre of the printed structure and has a coverage area of 132 square metres from a single point. Apis Cor 3D printer uses construction mix based on cement, which by its characteristics is similar to the concrete grade М250. The company has successfully built a house near Moscow in less than 24 hours costing around $10,000.
