Apis Cor 2

Apis Cor is a Construction 3D printing startup that designed a robotic arm based extrusion type concrete printing machine capable of even printing entire houses. The Company is based out of Russia and USA and is headquartered in San Francisco. Apis Core envisions to exploit the automation capability to print houses in bulk. The printer is capable of printing across an area of 132 sq.m and prints concrete through the robotic arm supported over a vertical support pillar. The self stabilization technique keeps the printer steady for accurate printing during motion of heavy parts. The machine is 4.5 m long and 1.5m high, weighing about 2 Tonnes. The equipment is transported in a truck, lifted with a crane and assembled on site by two men in 30 minutes. The machine can print till a height of 3.1 m and for subsequent floors it can be lifted and placed on the roof slabs The machine is supplemented with an efficient mixing mechanism that ensures high quality printing material throughout.
